Coastal Path 31.10.2013
Plans for an improved East Kent coastal path from Folkestone to Ramsgate were tabled this week.

Natural England published proposals for the 59km (37-mile) stretch between Folkestone and Ramsgate over the next two years.

It will address eroded areas along the North Downs way between Dover and Folkestone and provide better access in the Stour estaury between Ramsgate and Sandwich.

The Secretary of State will open a consultation for residents, landowners and councils to give feedback on the plans.

The plans can be seen at libraries in Folkestone, Dover, St Margaret's-at-Cliffe, Deal, Sandwich, Minster and Ramsgate.
