News / RNLI Thanet Fundraising Group
The Mayday Mile has been a great success and is a great start to the new RNLI Thanet Fundraising Group. The walk done by Karen Cox (Ramsgate Press Officer) and Sarah Hewes (Thanet Group Leader) raised £800. They would both like to say a big thank you to everyone who so kindly supported them.
Our first Street Collection was at Birchington on June 26. The amount raised was £637.41, which is fantastic. Many thanks to Ray Noble for being our Collections Organiser at Birchington. Thank you to everyone who so kindly and generously supported us. There will be further Street Collections in Thanet (Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs) over the next few months.
We are in need of more volunteers. If you are interested in getting involved please contact the Group Leader, Sarah Hewes via the
RNLI Thanet Fundraising Group Facebook page or by e-mail
sarah.hewes@outlook.com, if you do not have a computer then a message could be left at the RNLI Ramsgate Lifeboat Station with your contact details.
Many thanks for all the support the good people of Ramsgate give to the RNLI. It is very much appreciated.
