Ramsgate Town Council supports a wide range of community organisations via its Ramsgate fund. All bodies large and small can apply for funding.
The fund applies to community organisations based in Ramsgate or those that can show that the projects they are promoting are based in Ramsgate. The fund is for capital items only and there is an upper limit of £3,200.
In assessing each application the Council will look at the benefit to the community, if your organisation has applied elsewhere for joint funding (a good idea) and what resources your organisation will bring to the project; whether in cash or in kind.
Examples of projects that have been part funded from the Ramsgate Fund are:
- Miss Ramsgate Organisation – For clothing and to rebuild the carnival float
- Royal Air Force Association – For paint and materials
- St. Laurence Church – For leaflets and a noticeboard
- Ramsgate Maritime Museum – For advertising banners
- Ramsgate Football Club – For junior team strip
- Ramsgate Town Carnival – For collection buckets
