Get Active in Ramsgate!

A Ramsgate Town Council initiative, Active Ramsgate, has launched Active8 – a compilation of eight different activities that can all be experienced within Ramsgate.

Active Ramsgate is designed to support economic regeneration by promoting the Ramsgate area through its outdoor activities. Active8 has been developed to showcase some of the most fun, accessible activities available to both visitors and residents alike.

There are so many different sports to try, including kitesurfing, of which, lessons are on offer for the first time on Ramsgate Sands, as well as pickleball, one of the few places in the UK where this can be played – a hot new sport which is quickly gaining in popularity since its arrival from the US.

There are also pursuits for those that aren’t looking for something quite so sporty, including various guided walking trails, cycling the Viking Coastal Trail, birdwatching and boat trips, all of which give visitors and residents the opportunity to get out into the outdoors and enjoy the best scenery and nature that Ramsgate and the surrounding area has to offer.

Also being launched is an Active8 special offers leaflet, each one of the activities has an associated discount or freebie, added incentive to try out something with the family this summer.
