23 August 2016

The Friends of Ellington Park are delighted to announce the opening of the Heritage Exhibition at St Laurence church hall. We will be open from Saturday 3 to Saturday 17 September 2016, every day (except Mondays) between 10am and 4pm.

The Heritage Lottery fund and Ramsgate Town Council are funding this celebration of community life, giving us an extraordinary insight into the social history of the original parish of St Lawrence.

Come along and look at the display of photographs, fine costumes and memorabilia through the ages. Listen to some fascinating oral histories and community memories. For the children there’s fabulous hats to try on and a chance to touch the exhibits in our Hands-on-History area. In our exhibition, ‘From Where I Stand’ you will see beautiful art work from an array of talented artists on local themes.

Take part in the wonderful, guided afternoon walks around the area. Every In the evening you can come and hear the stimulating talks by local historians, artists and wildlife enthusiasts.

So much to explore and enjoy! If you love Ramsgate, please join us.

Entrance is free and refreshments are available.
