Election of a Parish Councillor for
RAMSGATE TOWN COUNCIL
(NEWINGTON WARD)
1. An Election is to be held of One Town Councillor vacancy for Newington Ward of Ramsgate Town Council.
2. Nomination forms for the Parish Election may be obtained from the Election Office, Council Offices, Cecil Street, Margate, Kent, CT9 1XZ for completion and also at the request of an elector, the Returning Officer for the electoral area will prepare a nomination paper for signature.
3. Nomination papers must be delivered to the
Returning Officer, Election Office, Council Offices, Cecil Street, Margate, Kent, CT9 1XZ on any day after the date of this notice between the hours of
10am- 4pm but no later than
4 pm on Friday 24th June 2016.
PLEASE NOTE FORMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE GATEWAY PLUS BUILDING IN CECIL STREET, MARGATE, KENT.
4. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 21st July 2016.
5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Election Office, Council Offices, Cecil Street, Margate, Kent, CT9 1XZ by 5 pm on Wednesday, 6th July 2016.
6. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Election Office, Council Offices, Cecil Street, Margate, Kent, CT9 1XZ by 5 pm on Wednesday, 13th July 2016.
7. Applications to vote by proxy at this election applied for on grounds of either physical incapacity or absence in relation to occupation, employment or service occurring after 5 pm on Wednesday, 13th July 2016 must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Election Office, Council Offices, Cecil Street, Margate, Kent, CT9 1XZ by 5 pm on Thursday, 21st July 2016.
