Ramsgate Neighbourhood Plan 08.01.2015
There will be a drop-in session from 6 pm to 9 pm on Thursday 12 March 2015 at the Custom House, Ramsgate for local residents to contribute to the development of the Ramsgate Neighbourhood Plan.

A Neighbourhood Plan is a community-led framework for guiding the development, regeneration and conservation of an area. The Ramsgate Neighbourhood Plan is led by the Town Council supported by an organising group of volunteers. The Plan covers all Ramsgate and looks at four areas:

• Economy
• Built Environment
• Natural Environment
• Living - includes leisure, sport and culture.

This event will build on suggestions made by residents at open space sessions held last year to draft policies that can make Ramsgate a place everyone can be proud to live or work in - and a good place to visit.

A Neighbourhood Plan is part of the part of the statutory development plan for the area. It covers a smaller area than the Local Plan and allows the community to specify in more detail what they expect from development. A Neighbourhood Plan supplements but cannot overturn the Local Plan

Further information on Neighbourhood Planning can be found at www.locality.org.uk.
