Looping the Loop Festival - Season 9 Programme Announced!

Home / About Ramsgate / News / Looping the Loop Festival - Season 9 Programme Announced!

26 September 2017

Looping the Loop
Looping the Loop, Thanet’s very own twice-yearly performance festival is back in full force from 11th - 19th November with a feast of theatre, performance, workshops and social events happening in Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate. This inclusive festival brings nationally-touring theatre companies to East Kent and platforms some of the best local work happening in and around Thanet.

This season you can get creative with your kids and build the landscape for a puppet show at Turner Contemporary, revel in Vic Llewellyn and Kid Carpet’s ode to outsider artists and their eccentric structures at the Theatre Royal Margate and attend ‘Ross & Rachel’, the acclaimed play written by award-winning playwright James Fitz at St George’s Hall in Ramsgate.

This season, Looping the Loop is proud to introduce a new giving scheme which reaches out to local children, young and isolated people by providing free tickets to shows and events. ‘Theatre For All’ enables businesses and individuals to give a local person the chance to experience the magic of theatre. Just £5 provides a free visit to the theatre for someone from your community. You can donate a ticket online at the same time that you are buying your ticket for any of the shows below.

The below highlights are just the tip of the iceberg, with 9 days of events in total make sure you take a good look through the Festival programme and get scheduling!
